Call for Abstracts and Submission Details
All Ph.D. students of Linguistics in NRW are welcome to submit their current or prospective work.
If you haven’t started with your Ph.D. journey yet but would like to contribute to LinPin through sharing your ideas or research, you are also very welcome to join us.
You may contribute with either a talk or a poster. Posters can demonstrate any stage of your research and may contain your research idea, your study, and findings.
If you would like to present orally (talk), you can choose from among the following:
1. A method pitch, in which you lay out your research methodology
2. Findings from your research
3. A „my PhD journey so far“ talk, which presents your personal reflection of your PhD process, strategies you’ve found, or problems you’ve encountered
The requirements are the following:
• Approximately 300-500 words in length
• The submission needs to be a PDF file
• All personal information in the file must be anonymized
• The abstract should contain a title, a statement of your preferred contribution (talk, poster, etc.), main text, and a list of your references. Optionally, you may add figures, tables, and so on.
• Please use the submission form below to submit your abstract.
• Deadline for submission: May 31st 2026

Extras
Coffee and Snacks will be provided – Lunch is not included, but we will invite you to walk to Mensa together, which is about 5 minutes away.
• Acceptance means automatic registration
• You will be notified of acceptance by the beginning of July
• There is no conference fee!
• It is also possible to participate without a talk or a poster; in that case, just send an email to us.
