Registration for Courses
Registration
The allocation of seminar places for the German Studies courses is carried out by an digital allocation procedure at TU Dortmund University. The aim of the procedure is to ensure that all students can attend the courses they need to complete their studies quickly and successfully.
To register, please proceed as follows:
- After registering in the LSF, you will find the courses offered under "Courses" → "Course Catalog" → "Cultural Studies" → "German Studies"
- Please register for lectures separately from the seminars.
- The seminars offered within a module are grouped in a collective registration.
- Please select up to three seminars per module and assign different priorities to the courses: high, medium and low (1, 2 and 3).
- If you have not received a desired seminar place, you can apply for the remaining open seminar places in the late registration phase.
Deadlines
Registrations are processed as follows:
- Needs assessment
- Registration phase with collective registrations (14 days)
- Late registration phase (2 days)
- Allocation of remaining places (2 to 4 weeks)

Comment
- You can change your registration as often as you like during the registration phase. Under "My functions" → "Timetable" you can see the courses for which you have applied. Once the seminar places have been allocated, you will also find the seminars and lectures for which you have been admitted.
- After the allocation of seminar places, please deregister from all courses that you will not be attending.
- If you would like to attend more than one seminar in a module, please use the allocation round in the late registration phase.
