Paths to Teacher Professional Development: Teacher Identity Development and Research Literacy

On March 7th, 2024, the Dortmunder Center for Teacher Education and Educational Research (DoKoLL) will offer a symposium for school teachers, teacher educators, future teachers and scholars on the topics of teacher identity and research literacy. The symposium will feature lectures and workshops by Professor Joanna Garner (Old Dominion University - USA), Professor Emma Marsden (University of York – UK), and Professor Kenan Dikilitaş (University of Stavanger – Norway).

Attendees of this symposium will develop the intellectual tools to reflect on their personal and professional development from an identity perspective, likewise deepening their ability to engage in different forms of teacher research. The language of the symposium will be English; the target audience includes teachers and pre-service teachers from all school forms and subject areas, teacher educators, mentors as well as educational researchers.

The language of the symposium will be English. The event is free, but registration is required.
